    4. Tick any add-ons, such as usage rights or exclusivity, then click Calculate.
    5. Quote near the suggested price and negotiate within the range.

How the Influencer Rate Calculator Works

The calculator uses a cost-per-thousand-views model, often called CPM. In other words, you charge for the audience that actually watches, not for your follower count.

    Rate = (average views ÷ 1,000) × base rate × niche factor × engagement factor × add-ons.

    • Base rate: the price per 1,000 views for each format. For example, the default for an Instagram reel is ₹250.
    • Niche factor: from 0.8 for entertainment to 1.5 for finance, because brand budgets differ by niche.
    • Engagement factor: from 0.8 below 1% engagement to 1.35 above 6%.
    • Add-ons: usage rights add 30%, exclusivity adds 20% and rush delivery adds 15%.

    Here is a worked example. A tech creator averaging 20,000 reel views with a 3% engagement rate gets 20 × ₹250 × 1.35 × 1.2 = ₹8,100 as a suggested quote.

These base rates are our starting assumptions, not official industry figures. Actual deals depend on the brand budget, your deliverables and negotiation. So open “Adjust the assumptions” in the calculator and set base rates that match your own past deals.

    Influencer Rate Calculator FAQ

How much should I charge for an Instagram reel in India?

Base it on your average reel views, not followers. With our default assumptions, a lifestyle creator averaging 10,000 views would quote around ₹2,500 per reel. Niche, engagement and usage rights can raise that considerably.

Why does the calculator use views instead of followers?

Views show how many people will actually see the brand message. Followers include inactive accounts, so view-based pricing is fairer for both sides.

Should I charge extra for usage rights?

Yes. If a brand wants to run your content as an ad or post it on its own channels, charge extra. Around 30% more is a common starting point, and more for long or exclusive usage.

Can micro-influencers charge for brand deals?

Yes. Brands value small creators with engaged, niche audiences. Many micro-influencers earn through paid posts, product deals and affiliate commissions.

    Is the calculated price guaranteed?

No. The result is an estimate to help you start a negotiation. Adjust the assumptions to match your real past deals for more accurate quotes.
